How it all started...
It all started with a vision, a need and a burden. Ryan and Portia McComb had a unique vision for their family from the beginning. Even before they were married they knew their family would grow through adoption. They had a desire for their dinner table to be a gathering place of people from all walks, races, stories and places. In the Fall of 2021, the McCombs began to take steps towards this vision and were very quickly overwhelmed by the hurdles and challenges that come with the adoption process. They realized they were not alone. Many families in their church had the desire to adopt or foster but had no idea where to begin. The need for a bridge became apparent: a way to connect those who had the desire to make it happen with resources to make it easier. The vision grew.

The Burden
As our team began to look into adoption and foster care more, the burden grew. There are endless needs: from fostering and adopting to supporting foster or adoptive families. There is no shortage of ways one can participate in the foster care and adoption world. The team realized there was a lack of free resources to help individuals and families get involved.
The Plan
At this point, none of us are adoption or foster care experts, but we have a team of people who have diverse experiences with adoption (domestic infant and international), foster care, and fundraising. Each member of our team has a desire to empower and support families. So, our plan is to come alongside Christian families who want to adopt, foster, or support families, and to walk the journey with them. We want to equip these families to take steps they may not have had the courage to take on their own. We will give you information that helps you make informed decisions, we will walk with you through every step of the process, we will cry with you through the challenges, and we will celebrate with you in the victories. We believe that you can do this and that we can help.
